With its prominent façade and a variety of room options available; including outside Marquee hire – the Manor is an ideal location to celebrate, offering a flavour of local Welsh history and culture. Llanyrafon Manor has five rooms available for hire:
The Great Chamber – Constructed during the mid-17th century, the finely carved, ornate fireplace is rumoured to have come from the original Tredegar House. Today, this room offers a calm and relaxing space. The Great Chamber can hold up to 30 guests.
The Tudor Hall – Containing a number of period features forms part of the original Tudor building, with its timber beams and original windows, the Tudor Hall offers a large and versatile space providing a number of seating arrangements to suit the mood of your function. The Tudor Hall can hold up to 50 guests.
The Parlour – Forming part of the original Tudor building, dates to around 1550. The room was later used as a small hall and dining area. This quaint setting is ideal for more intimate wedding ceremonies, seating up to 15 guests.
The Buttery – This room also dates to around 1550 when it was most likely used as a pantry for storing foods. With charming features such as the small inglenook fireplace, the Buttery can seat up to 12 guests for a unique, rustic ceremony.
The Kitchen – Added in the late 17th century, the Kitchen would have supplied the family and neighbouring houses with cooked foods and bread. During World War II, this room would have played home to the numerous Land Girls who were stationed at the Manor. The Kitchen now offers the ideal setting for a vintage wedding, comfortably seating up to 20 guests.
This beautiful site was owned by the Griffiths family for 250 years before becoming a secluded Victorian Farm, seeing many happy couples tie the knot during its history.
Llanyrafon Manor is a magnificent example of a Tudor Manor House, situated in a tranquil corner of historic Cwmbran town. With its striking white façade and impressive outbuildings, the Manor has proudly stood alongside the Afon Lwyd River for over 400 years.
